ABOUT PILATES

Live Life to the Core
The purpose of Pilates is to develop flexibility, strength and core control, improve posture, increase balance and provide mind-body awareness. Joseph Pilates said “In 10 sessions you will feel the difference. In 20 sessions you will see the difference. In 30 sessions you will have a whole new body.”

Pilates Reformer

The Allegro Reformer is a unique piece of equipment using spring tension to provide resistance or assistance to Pilates movements. This allows the trainer to tailor the workout to meet your individual goals. Assistance can be added to very challenging exercises or resistance can be added by manipulating the amount of spring tension.

The Reformer is the core element to total Pilates training. It allows you to practice Pilates with more intensity to get longer, leaner, stronger and more flexible while having fun!

Class Descriptions - Pilates

Mat Pilates
Achieve overlal fitness by training the mind, body and breath to work together. Develop core and abdominal strength as well as increased range of motion and flexibility.

Gentle Pilates
Same as our Mat Pilates class but only Level 1 (beginner) exercise are done. This class moves a bit slower but is very effective. Perfect for seniors and beginners.

Yoga Fusion
Yoga infused with PILATES. Yoga poses blended with Pilates exercises and principles creates core strength and flexibility. Some resistance equipment may be used.


Schedules are subject to change and are posted monthly on the 25th of each month. Classes are 1 hour unless otherwise noted. Classes may be cancelled if there are less than 3 participants.
