Senior Aquatic Class Descriptions
AAA
Designed for many types of theumatic diseases and related manifestations. A gentle exercise performed in the water to improve joint flexibility and decrease pain and stiffness. Club and pool are handicap accessible. Taught by certified Arthritis Foundation instructors.
Aqua Fit
A moderate to high intensity class that combines cardio with strength building. Class is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.
Aqua Nuts
Anything goes in this moderate intensity hour! A variety of formats and equipment will be used.
Aqua Power
Get your heart working in the cardio segment, then strengthen muscle and improve balance and coordination for a well rounded workout.
Aqua Step Combo
This class is held in the competition pool at Essex 2. Start with awarm up and then increase intensity using a step in the water for a moderate to intense workout.
Aquatic Body Conditioning
A moderate to high intensity cardio segment and muscle conditioning followed by stretching.
Cardio Wave
An energetic aqua workout designed to challenge and condition the entire body.
Grandparent Swim
A free swim with up to 2 of your grandchildren.
HART
Hydro Aerobic Rigorous Training - that says it all! Intermediate to advanced fitness levels of any age, with focus on posture andcore muscle groups. Lots of movement and fun!
Hydro Gym
Moderate to high intensity, this class combines both stationary and high intensity exercise, including intense cardio segment followed by strength training.
Liquid Tai Chi
Combine the beautiful, flowing movements of Tai Chi with the resistive yet relaxing properties of water. Perfect for all fitness levels.
Senior Swim
Seniors from anywhere are welcome to our FREE swim.
Water Walking
Strength and endurance walking using the resistance of water with optional use of Hydrofit equipment.
Water Wave Challenge
An aerobic workout that uses the water's natural resistance to increase cardio fitness.
Wet & Wild
Intermediate to high intensity cardio, followed by muscular strength training using a variety of equipment, followed by stretching.
