Senior Group Fitness Class Descriptions
Cardio Flex
For women only, this class, held in the Women's Fitness Center, uses traditional floor aerobics, moderate intensity, with strengthening and flexibility exercises.
Cardio Walk+
This class consists of low impact aerobic movement, walking on the track, core strengthening and a stretch.
Fitness for Fun
This class incorporates gentle, low impact aerobics with strength workout and stretching. For women only as this class is held exclusively in the Women's Fitness Center.
Functional Strength
Exercises and movements in this class are designed to mirror everyday life activities. This class will help keep the mature adult moving.
Gentle Yoga
Increase overall balance, alignment, posture and flexibility as you relax and gain a calm awareness of your body.
Get a Lift
A trainer is available for you from 10:00 to 11:00 in the weight room to help you with any questions or concerns you might have.
Golden Rims
Join a group of the finest older hoop players for a few games of 3 on 3 half court basketball.
Just My Speed
Low intensity moves followed by stretching and toning make this class perfect for beginners, mom's-to-be, seniors, etc.
Meditation
Provides an introduction to several methods of meditation. Personal time allowed. Open to everyone.
Racquet Fun
Racquetball - Learn the techniques of an energizing and enjoyable game with a growing number of senior players.
Resist-a-ball
Using a resist-a-ball is a great way to increase balance, flexibility and strength. A variety of levels and options are shown to make this class appropriate for everyone.
Senior Stretch
Start your week off right. Enjoy what we all need more of - STRETCHING! All major muscle groups will benefit from this 1/2 hour class. Relax & enjoy!
Stretch-n-Tone
Designed specifically for seniors, this class uses low intensity moves, stretching and toning for a complete workout.
Stride & Strong
This class, just for senior women, includes walking, strength and stretching exercises. Held in the Women's Fitness Center of the SFE Essex and Eastwood Drive.
Tennis Clinic
Low to intermediate, one hour clinic covering all strokes. FEE
Tennis Round Robin
One and one half hours of round robin play. NO FEE
Trackin'
Use the track; 1/8 mile. Plug in your headphones and walk a lap, or 2, or 3, or 4, or more!
